A process represents an action or a series of actions that does or creates something necessary for the successful completion of the project. The process is often identified by the inclusion of three core components: inputs, tools or techniques, and outputs. It is also important to keep in mind that processes are not always linear or sequential. They may need to be revisited multiple times throughout the lifecycle of a project.
