About

Welcome to Project Management Reference, and thank you for taking valuable time to learn more about the team and goals of our website.

Since 1999 the founders of Project Management Reference have worked in a variety of professional roles and positions. These experiences almost always require project management skills, concepts, and awareness and have a tendency to benefit work in both online and brick-and-mortar environments.

Throughout our careers, we have accumulated learnings – both big and small. While we would be the first to acknowledge that everyone’s personal experiences will shape their abilities and accomplishments in a professional setting, we recognized that sharing our knowledge, experiences, and advice can help others to build confidence in managing projects efficiently and effectively.

Founded and launched in the Fall of 2022, Project Management Reference seeks to solve three purposes:

  • First, we are committed to sharing our perspectives resulting from our own experiences in the form of articles with our readers. Whether we are celebrating accomplishments or acknowledging mistakes – if we believe there’s value in sharing it with our readers, we will.

  • Second, we know that there is a multitude of professional accreditations, training, and governing bodies that exist across the project management industries. We will do our best to highlight those and provide our community of readers with relevant updates, news, and advice when it comes to working with these organizations.

  • Third, we aspire to make project management less intimidating and more approachable to all. Project management is often thought of as a “work” skill, but ends up being applicable in all aspects of life. In building awareness to project management concepts and skills, we aspire to build your confidence in taking on new challenges and knocking things off your to-do lists.

We exist to serve you, our audience of readers and website visitors. If there’s something that we could be doing better or differently, we want to hear from you and value your feedback as we continue chasing down our objectives. If you have the time to do so, we would greatly appreciate you sending us a message to let us know how we’re doing.
